Slightly beforehand a python version of a tvdb scraper was being developed for reasons. Tvdb moved to their API v4 a while ago, that is incompatible with the addon. I did TRY that backup, but it had the same issues of not updating TV shows, however I thought I would mention both methods in case there were some issue with NFS that I didn't remember. The 'newer' backup file I have was mounting them with CIFS, but the paths are different from what is stored in the database (which is why I thought that backup was from a failed setup). So if you have any suggestions, please let me know! Of course all of the relevant info for Kodi 14 has been wiped from the wiki by now, and I'm not having much luck finding anything helpful on google. I'm certain I've always used TVDB as my source because I rely on their website for naming my shows so that the right one appears on Kodi. Hopefully someone has a better memory than myself on what things had to be updated. My next thought was maybe Kodi changed their API key, and I just need to update a file with the new information? I do actually think I have to edit a file through SSH during one of the TVDB changes, so maybe this is the item I'm missing? Neither version seems to be working though. I have the add-on -1.8.4 installed from what appears to be the most recent (and correct) backup, and I have the zip for v3.0.1 from another backup (although that one doesn't match my actual file paths so I think that backup came from testing a newer version at some point). Now I do recall TVDB going through several changes over these last several years, and my assumption is that at some point I made a change to my setup to fix this. I've tried starting with a clean install and just adding my sources, and I've tried applying the two backups I have, but always with the same results. And it does appear that new movies are being scraped, so this is only an issue with TV shows. Seems good enough, and after restarting Kodi all of the shows that had been previously scraped show up and are playable (and get marked as watched). I installed OpenElec 5.0.8 back onto a new card and combed through my existing (old) backups while comparing the path names stored in mySQL to ensure I was mounting my shares in the same path (/storage/videos/TV Shows/). This is a Raspberry Pi 2 build, and the SD card suddenly choked a couple weeks ago without any recent backups. Part of it is the preferred layout, and part is because I already have an extensive database marking hundreds of watched TV shows and thousands of movies, this isn't something I am willing to just wipe away.
